Engage OT has worked extensively throughout the NDIS, Medicare, DVA and QLD Health sectors. And have been lucky enough to work with an vast number of clients, from a wide array of backgrounds.

Engage Occupational Therapy has been involved in working with all ages of people supporting their ability to life a meaningful life.

Our OT's have worked with infants through to the elderly experiencing age-related frailty.

This experience extends throughout Paediatric, Physical, Psychosocial & Age-related demographics.

Paediatric support can include therapy for Developmental Delays, social/ cognitive/ sensory skill therapy, emotional regulation, fine motor skill training, play skills, engagement in self-care, routines & social stories, increasing independence, working on self-esteem and motivation, problem solving/ planning/ attention/ organisation etc.

Physical support can include Equipment Prescription, Home Modification prescription, Task Modification, Housing assessments, functional life skills training, Vascular & Lymphoedema management, increasing independence, Rehabilitation, Falls Prevention, Energy Conservation, Pressure Injury Management, Neurological Rehabilitation for the Upper Limb etc.

Psychosocial support can include functional life skills training, Safety Plans, re-engagement in meaningful activities, practicing social skills, increasing independence, emotional regulation, sensory need planning, social stories & pre-emptive social planning etc.

Age-related support can include supporting safe return home after discharge from hospital, increasing independence, Cognitive Assessments, Delirium management, Assessment of Cognition to inform Medical recommendations regarding Decision-Making Capacity & Dementia Behavioural Support Plans etc.

Initial Assessments

This includes history, 1-2 goals 1x Standardised Assessment for Outcome Measures, Goal Setting, Treatment Planning.

This may be a basic, general or complex initiail +/- a report as required.

NDIS Assessments

This includes assessment & report based on NDIS ‘Types of Disability Evidence’ & the appropriate criteria’s in the relevant NDIS Operational Guidelines.

This may include Plan, FCA's, SIL's, SDA's, ILO's etc.

General OT Therapy

Engage OT provides General OT therapy including functional life skills training, emotional regulation, play skills, social skills, capacity building, education, etc

General OT Interventions

Engage OT provides General OT Intervention such as:
- Assistive Technology Trials / Prescription/ Applications,
- Home Modifications Prescription/ Applications,
- Custom Compression Garment Measure/ Order,
- Other Letters and applications such as Disability Parking Permit Applications, Companion Card Applications, Taxi Subsidy Support Applications.
- etc

Paediatrics

Ashlee has a particular interest area in providing services for the Paediatric Population.
Ashlee provides Assessment and Therapy to Paediatric populations.
This includes supporting clients with ADHD, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays etc.

Hand Therapy

Shawn has a particular interest area in providing Hand Therapy services.
Shawn is a Certified Hand Therapist & Accredited Hand Therapist.
He has 10 years experience in Hand Therapy, supporting people with conservative management, rehabilitation, splinting, casting, needling, heat therapy etc.

Clinical Supervision & Education

Ashlee offers Clinical Supervision to Occupational Therapists who work with clients across the lifespan.
She also provides workplace education on topics such as sensory processing, developmental stages, Home Modifications, SIL/ SDA/ ILO, parenting skills, the NDIS, holistic client assessment etc.

Shawn offers Clinical Supervision to Hand Therapists wanting to further their skills in managing fractures, tendon injuries, grafts, or hand trauma.

Travel
